Budapest is a lovely city to visit all year round. Most of the major sightseeing places are within walkable distance or easy access with public transportation. One also can’t miss their fantastic cuisine and thermal bathes. Definitely a must-visit city when you’re traveling through Central/Eastern Europe.
Stay
Hotel Zenit Budapest Palace: I had a fantastic 3 night-stay here in March with my mom. This hotel has a centralized location, newly-renovated spacious rooms, and excellent breakfast selection. It’s worth mentioning their accommodating staff and service.
Eat
Városliget Café & Restaurant: This restaurant is close to Szécheny Baths. Enjoy the outdoor baths before dinning here. Don’t miss their lovely desserts. Beautiful view, elegant vibe, and amazing food!
New York Café: It’s become touristy yet still iconic. Come here for its glamorous décor and history. They offer a wide range of fine Hungarian and European food.
Hell’s Kitchen: Traditional Hungarian restaurant in city centre. They have live music during dinner hours and great good with vegan goulash option.
Pierrot: Lovely restaurant on Castle Hill, the Buda side of the city. A fine lunch/dinner option while sightseeing in the area. They have nice and fresh vegetarian options, and the service is great.
Quán Nón Budapest: What a pleasantly good Vietnamese restaurant in the city centre. It’s definitely a good place to go for Asian cuisine while in town. Their vegan pho is amazing.
