London without a doubt is one of my favorite cities in the world. It has much to offer. I especially love their architectures, museums and their afternoon tea tradition. I’ve visited London numerous times, last December was my most recent visit and I was surprised by how pleasant it was in winter and during the New Year’s Eve period. Here are my tips and recommendations.
Stay
The Chesterfield Mayfair: First off you can’t beat the location as it’s centrally located in Mayfair. Attractions, shopping districts and restaurants are within walking distance. This historical establishment has true British charm, elegant yet hospitable. The rooms are classy and the service is top-notch. The favorite part of my stay was their breakfast and where it’s held.
Eat
Mildreds: This vibrant vegan restaurant in Soho is a must-dine place not only for vegetarians and vegans. Not only are their dishes tasty, their cocktails are also exquisite.
Sketch: We celebrated our NYE here last year. It was an incredible experience not only for our taste buds, but also for the special occasion. The dreamlike pink decor is fun and atmospheric. They are accommodating when it comes to vegetarian and vegan options (I contacted them in advance since they had set NYE menus, they were able to offer us delicious set vegan menu.) I also love their unique cocktails.
Frenchurch Restaurant: My friend took me here for dinner when in London last summer. Located on the 37th floor, Sky Garden is the first you see where you can enjoy some drinks before dinner with amazing views of the city. The restaurant itself has vegetarian and vegan dishes that are beautifully presented and tastes impeccable to say the least.
The Ritz: This is one of the most spectacular restaurants that I’ve ever been. The dining experience had exceeded my expectations. From the live jazz performance to the impressive interior decor, we’re impressed ever since we stepped into the restaurant.
The Berkeley: I came here for their Prêt-à-Portea afternoon tea last summer. I had such a lovely time drinking fine tea out of their beautiful china and enjoying their fashion runway inspired bakes.
